Speizia Organics at Magpie & Fox

It has been a very busy few weeks since we opened the boutique and we’ve been enjoying meeting all our new customers and welcoming the good people of Truro into the boutique for a browse and a glass of prosecco. It really has been wonderful to see such a great reaction and we have had such a warm welcome for the other independents in Truro so far - it has been a brilliant few weeks so thank you to everyone for being so lovely!

At Magpie & Fox we are constantly searching for not only gorgeous pretty things for the store but products that we genuinely believe in. Everything that is in the boutique has been especially sourced because we love it and believe in it. So it was a no brainer when I met up with Amanda Barlow from Spiezia to chat about their skincare products, and it was almost inevitable that I’d add them to our collection.

If you haven’t already heard about Spiezia then you should have. Made in our very own Truro it is a range of 100% organic skincare products (soil association certified and so organic that you can actually eat them). Their fformulations are created using a synergy of herbs and flowers and are developed using a unique process that uses solar and lunar energy to make the most of the air-dried herbs in their amazing products. As well as being organic it goes without saying that none of the ingredients are tested on animals.

I am thrilled to have the products in the shop as everything about them is lovely - from the beautifully coloured glass bottles (which look amazing in the store), to the smell and the fact that using them on my skin is a real treat - particularly at the end of the day when taking makeup off is normally a chore. Using Spiezia’s cleansing cream, toner and then the nourishing moisturizer is quite the opposite: it is a genuine treat at the end of the day, and I find myself looking forward to it. It feels like an effortless aromatherapy-esque facial as I breath in the fantastic aromas while my skin is treated to a natural pore cleansing nourishing treat.

We will be adding further information to the website over the next few days with regards to which products we stock but I couldn’t wait to share my exciting news with you all. And well, if it is good enough for the luxury 5* world-renowned Browns Hotel of Covent Garden then it is good enough for us that is for sure!
